Wooh! 10 days have passed in a blink of the eye, never thought that time can passed this fast. Was still busy packing my bag last week, and here it come, the end of inbound 08. Spend my past 10 days wif the best of the company one could seek. From going out to chill while the delegates are busying shopping, all the way to talking till the wee hours of the morning, they have been the best. Though we have some disagreements between us, heck to that, i still enjoyed being wif u guyz.
This inbound also really bought some insight into the life of a SAF regular, from dealing wif hard-to-please delegations to outing arrangments. HAHAHAHA, really enjoyed it. Especially the part where the HK delegation head jacked Yit Seng and I, not going to talk about it here cuz it really pissed mi off. Apart from that, the trip have been enjoyable, from going into the Night Safari and S'pore flyer (both first time), taking a cable car ride (2nd time), to having a excellent dinner at Park Hotel.
Here's a breakdown of the trip (28th Nov-9th Dec 08):
28th Nov, Friday-> Welcomed the India delegates to s'pore at T1, was shocked at this arrangment, provided that i'm not the cadet that went there, i went to USA leh. But wif any thing to do wif the military, u gotta accept it one way or the another. So bo pian loh, took them under our wing along wif Shankar. Showed them their bunks at HQ NCC after bringing them in. Worked like mad after that cuz the other delegates bunk was not well-prepared, the fuck!? When NCC cadets when into their country, we did our beds ourselves, how ironic about this arrangement. Went home after this stint to packed my bag as i was TOTALLY not prepared for it.
29th Nov, Saturday-> Spend the entire day to pack my bag, return my loaned books from the library, repair my tattered PT and No.4 pants. Book in at 11.30pm at HQ NCC after watching Royal Tramp on Ch U. 'Questioned' by the peeps at the guardhouse for booking in late, unfortunately, i was not the only one late. After i walked into HQ, the entire ICEP delegates came in. HAHAHAHA, stupid MPs. Really tempted to complain them, as after this late night booking in, they went to 'screw' our course OIC and Spec. Damn them, who they think they are, bunch of condemned personnal. Spend the night playing fang, fang sar wif the rest of the ICEP Liaison Escort Officers...
30th Nov, Sunday-> Visited Sentosa. Took the cable car for the second time in my life, was so uptight about it, considering that we are 'suspended' in mid-air. Also went of the skytower. Bless shankar and another indian cadet for making my life difficult by jumping around in the cable car, damnit. Watch some 3D show after that, had lunch and free and easy commenced. Shankar, Shamsuree, Jee Wang and Me went for babe-hunting around Palawan beach. WOOH! The place was filled wif bikini babes, damnit, was lucky that i was immuned to nose bleed. The 4 of us spend some quality time checking out and comparing them; true evidence of boys. Then came the accident, while on a tram ride to get some cigars for the UK cadets during the "Songs of The Seas" show. I, um, kinda suggested to my two frens to jump out of the tram as it is not going to stop at our ideal destination. While Jee Wang and I clear the jump successfully, Shankar landed and hurt his knee as he jumped off the tram. Wats even funnier was that the tram stop at the tram stop after he jumped...
1th Dec, Monday-> Visited air force museum, nothing to comment for this one, been there countless times. After the little visit, went to Paya Lebar Air Base Flight Simulator. Was sniggering at the dumbfounded expression of the Air Force officers when being bombarded with questions by the USA Chaperons, such as the lack of realism of our simulators, and the 'ancientness' of the simulators themselves. The USA Chaperons sure had a good time screwing our officers; dun blame them, the AF officers deserved it. After that was embassy visit. As Thailand (transefered from india) was not visiting their embassy on that day, i got time off by going back home!
2nd Dec, Tuesday-> Went to changi chapel, kinda 'raise' my voice to the ICEP delegation to stop taking pictures. Not my fault, the tour guide asked mi to do that... Went for the S'pore Flyer after that, my first time on it. Was shaking aboard the cabin, cuz i got a serious phobia of heights. And it didn't help that the cabin was at 160m from the ground. But muster some courage to stand up and took photos, considering that its my first time on it? Night Safari was nx, first time visiting it, find it like the S'pore Zoo, only wif the lights turn off. Wat i realli liked was the Animal of the Night Show, really got to praise the show producers for letting off a python during the show to hide in the audience, only to alert the audience that there's a python among them. Thought its was a joke, but when i saw the python being hoisted from the lower benches of the theatrette, damnit, thats a REAL one. Wonder wat my reaction would be if its under my bench; unthinkable...
3th Dec, Wednesday-> Visited NDU and Tuas Naval Base, same old thing, but i got on a missile corvette at Tuas Naval Base. Like it, though i find it distressing that we cannot get into the mission command section of the ship, some 'confidential' clearance. Wished i could get on it thought.
4th Dec, Thursday-> Had outdoor training, not me, but the ICEP delegates. After that, we had a dinner at Park Hotel! A nice 10 course meal was served, luv it. Performance by each country was nx, like the Hakka done by the NZ cadets and the Muay Thai demostration by the thai Cadets. It was awesome, respect them for the time they put in.
5th Dec, Friday-> Visited the Thai Embassy, had dinner at the Thai Ambassador's house. Was so shocked that he offered me wine during the dinner, sipped a little and didn't touch it after that for the entire dinner. But this dinner took up the time that can be used to watch the Change-Of-Command Parade, this year, NCC Commandant LTC Stuart Khoo had been changed to LTC Adrian Koh from commados. WOW! I tink he gonna go hard on the NCC cadets physical fitness. Let see: Camp FEAST would have PT sessions in the morning, Spec Course would only be allowed to cadets if they pass their NAPFA Tests, Senior Spec Course would only be allowed to cadets is they got Silver or above for their NAPFA, Cadet Officer Course would only admit Silver NAPFA cadets. (Above recommendation is inexhaustible, up to individual's imagination of the Commando Unit) So maybi we can also have Fighting In Built Up Area (FIBUA) training?
6th Dec, Saturday-> Free and Easy the entire day, kenna Jacked by the HK peeps, damn them! Other den that, kena scolded by khalis. Something about attitude muz change lah. Yah, i did listened and learn...
7th Dec, Sunday-> Sadness arrived, send off the ICEP Inbound delegates. Felt empty, as one by one they left. But nvm, got connected to them in another kind of way. Through FACEBOOK! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, fiddling with it now, created a account, and busying uploading stuff on to it.
9th Dec, Tuesday-> Send off the last delegation, New Zealand. Miss all of them... Book in HQ, packed bag and book out. Kena scolded by MP again, this time, being treated wif gangsta behaviour, MP-> Dregs.
Would wanna go for it nx yr again, but would nid to get into COC course, hope my plan succeed!
*Want see more inbound pics, i dun have them all, but my facebook frens have. See:http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=624759586&ref=profile
