Last minute...

Didn't sleep well(again) last night. Not last night in fact, it was this morning i'm refering to. Sleep at around 5 or 6am, at got up at around 1.30pm+

And kinda missed the time my mother set for us to go for some last minute grocery shopping...

In the end, she did all by herself, BOLEH!!! Nice work mum!

But that isn't the end of the story, seems to me that she kinda 'forget' to buy somethings and dispatch my father and I late in the afternoon to get it done. Clever eh?

By the time we arrived at Sheng Siong, it was all people-people-people and PEOPLE. The scene was nice, considering that it embodies the spirit of Chinese New Year. Looking everywhere, there was people shoving each other around(i got it too). Being Kiasu for last minute freshest grabs, and some out-of-place looking people(nc) looking for some good bargains together.

Compere this scene with that of the National Trade Union Congress groceries store, and all that NTUC can offer is juz some small little birds in its premises. Not that i'm evil, but in my Point-Of-View I'm sure many who do grcoery shopping will agree. Is that the price of neccessity between the two supermarkets differ greatly.

For example, a packet of veges will cost u around $1.20-$1.50 in NTUC. But in Sheng Siong, it cost only $0.90!!!! Amazing eh?

And do not get fooled by people who says Sheng Siong's goods are lousy/downgraded/not-as-fresh. Sheng Siong's stuff is way fresher den NTUCs', considering the stock turnover is higher than the latter's. Japanese pumpkins sold at Sheng Siong gurantee+chopped will get sold in less than a day, whereas a different thing can be said in NTUC :)

So, wat i say is up to u to believe. But if u still consider Sheng Siong is a lousy-stuff supermarket, then there's nothing i can say....

Back again, i really appreciate my mother and father for organising the whole get-together thing. Though i argue with my mother on a regular basis, but there's always sometime where i'm grateful to her.......... Guess this always happens in every family, hahahahahahahahahaha
