Of Inter-College rivalries

Well, this is not about YJC. But about a very hilarious event that was set in Facebook, for Hwa Chong Students in regards to the FINALS FOR WORLD CUP 2010 that is set in the godly hour of 2.30am, Singapore Time, which spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E for many a student that is an avid fan of the beautiful game.

This in particular, is an appeal to all Hwach students to turn up promptly at 7.30am tomorrow morning for morning assembly and NOT TO FOLLOW THE FOOTSTEPS(ponning/take mc to emulate) of a particular Raffles Institution(Junior College), which their school so willingly gave a 1 day break for students in lieu of this Once-in-4 Years event, which i wish YJ's Mdm Koh could give it to us as well :(

Freaking hilarious. Which naturally sparked a war-of-words on both bastions of academic acheivers :D

Here goes:
Date:
Monday, July 12, 2010
Time:
7:30am - 2:30pm
Location:
Hwa Chong Institution

Fellow HCians! Today is the day we consolidate our advantage over those infidels at Marymount! Whilst they are unsuspectingly enjoying undeserved rest after a wasteful 2 hours watching a vuvuzuela concert, we, under the leadership and decree of our great principal, shall mug like we have never mugged before. The time has come to bridge the chasm of results between us and them, and the opportunity has never been so great.

An appeal must be made to those who wish to fall prey to the b-flat temptation. How can you squander such a rare opportunity? After all, the world cup only comes once every four years. Thus it is OF NO IMPORTANCE AT ALL. Don't you know how important ONE DAY OF SCHOOL is in comparison? We have almost 9001 school days! Miss one, and its NO LONGER OVER 9000!

Let us now unite in a new spirit, to take back what is rightfully ours. Invite all your friends. See you at 0730hours for flag raising on monday.

Those who wish to participate, pls take note to bring along ur pillows, jackets, and other essential equipment for maximum mugging comfort.
